Biography

Ioannis Athanasios Zavolas is an American actor and model whose work spans film, television, and national advertising. His credits include independent films, short-form productions, and nationally distributed commercial campaigns. Zavolas portrays Ivan in the award-winning film Girl Boxer, written and directed by Lauren McCann. The film has received recognition at festivals and competitions internationally. He shares the screen with McCann, Brett Azar, known for Terminator Genisys, Terminator: Dark Fate, and Young Rock, and Nora Sommerkamp, known for television appearances including Power and Project Runway. He also appears in Americanish, a feature film featuring George Wendt and Godfrey. The film has been distributed internationally, including through in-flight entertainment. Zavolas also appeared in Just One Bite, a 2018 Coca-Cola Regal Films finalist that played in Regal Theatres across the United States.
