Biography

Indy (born c. 2017) is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever dog actor. He is best known for his role as Indy in the horror film Good Boy (2025). The film role earned Indy the award for "Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller" at the 9th Astra Film Awards in 2025, the first time an animal was recognized in a category that had previously been reserved for human talent. Indy belongs to director and writer Ben Leonberg, who cast his own dog in the leading role. Additionally, Indy was honored with the "Howl of Fame" award at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, marking a rare and notable recognition for a canine performance.
